If you prefer to be doing something more energetic you will find a range of water sports and beach activities to indulge in from windsurfing to pedalos etc.
Cambrils has a working fishing port, you can watch the boats come in and see the days catch been auctioned on the quayside as they have been for centuries. To the south of the port there are other beaches if you are looking for somewhere more relaxing in the main season, they may have less facilities but are ideal for families with young children.
Cambrils is well known for its sea food you should take the opportunity to sample the cuisine at one of the wonderful restaurants. If you prefer, there are plenty of pizzas, chips, Chinese food on offer depending on your taste and budget.
You will find plenty of sport and leisure activities available in and around the resort, if you enjoy golf there are three courses within a 20km radius of Cambrils. You may prefer to hire a bike in the town and take off for a cycle ride; it is worth calling at the local tourist information office who can advise on recommended and interesting routes and how far afield you would like to go.
If you are looking for a fun filled family day out you may want to visit Port Aventura theme park and take in all the rides, attractions and entertainment on offer. It should keep everyone happy and occupied the whole day through. The resort is well situated for many interesting excursions and trips; the historic city of Terragon is worth a visit with plenty of ancient buildings and monuments.
Nightlife here is fairly low key compared to its neighbour Salou, you can enjoy a relaxing meal with a bottle of wine at one of the colourful restaurants, and some have live music and the occasional Flamenco dance. Another attraction is the local summer fiestas which take place in June, July and August.
In the summer months on a Saturday and Sunday evening you can stroll down to the sea front and enjoy the local entertainment and atmosphere. If you feel you want a more lively night out after your meal why not take a short taxi ride to Salou.
