The coast of Javea is approximately 25km long; the beaches vary from sandy to pebble and rock. You will find most water sports are available from jet skiing to windsurfing etc.

At the Arenal beach with its beautiful sandy bay, you can enjoy clean shallow waters, play areas for children, restaurants and cafes.

The town has an attractive seaport where you can watch the catches been auctioned off in the early evening. There is a modern Yacht Club with facilities for scuba diving, sailing and water skiing. If you prefer a round of golf there is the very pleasant Javea Golf Club surrounded by orange groves to tempt you.

Much of your holiday will be spent on the beaches enjoying the sun and the sea as you walk along the promenade there are plenty of restaurants to choose from, also some shops and boutiques to wander around.

Javea is a town of great beauty, the Old Town is steeped in history take a walk through the narrow streets and visit the Archaeological Museum, in the town centre you will see the Church of Bartolemi which was built in the 12th century. Javea’s old part still retains some traditionally built houses.

There are some impressive views to enjoy, particularly from the cabo de Nao (a small hill). The pavement cafes overlooking the Mediterranean are a great place to sit, relax and enjoy some refreshment.

Entertainment in Javea is generally found around the beach and port areas and is much more leisurely than in the bigger busier holiday resorts. You may find Spanish bands performing open air music and some restaurants have occasional live music. If you are looking for a more lively nightlife you will have to go further afield, here in Javea you can enjoy the sun, beaches, watersports, bars and restaurants, maybe an occasional disco.

You may want to visit other visitor attractions on the Costa Blanca while on holiday here. The resort town of Altea is about a half hour drive away, the regions largest Theme Park at Terra Mitica where there are spectacular shows and exciting rides will appeal to the children and keep them occupied all day long.
