Madonna di Campiglio a popular and attractive ski resort in the spectacular Brenta Dolomites. The ski area of Madonna di Campiglio opens up to include the nearby resorts of Marilleva and Folgarida with access to 150km of pistes.
The scenery is stunning
and there are some challenging black runs you may want to try. The resort offers diverse skiing, stylish shops and has a lively Italian atmosphere.
Beginners will enjoy the gentle wide nursery slopes which are to be found at Campo Carlo Magno and then progress on to the downward slopes of the Spinale and Groste areas. Intermediates will find the thrilling 8km Groste piste perfect, and with a whole area lift pass can enjoy the picturesque slopes of Folgarida and Marilleva.
Advanced skiers can experience some exciting skiing and breathtaking scenery, the Spinale Diretta black run is challenging. From Pradalago the long Amazzonia run gives enjoyment as well as beautiful scenery. If you are looking for something more demanding try the famous 3-Tre World Cup Slalom run which starts with a steep descent. There are more black runs in the Folgarida and Marilleva areas.
Madonna is one of the best snowboarding resorts in Italy. There are plenty of easy runs for the beginner. A superb half-pipe, fun park and boardercross for the more experienced and take a look at the Spinale area for powder, there is plenty of choice for all abilities to enjoy and have fun
The resort has 90km of piste (150kms including Marilleva and Folgarida) with 21 blue runs, 13 red runs and 4 black runs. The direction of the slopes is North, East and West. The longest run I 8km and there are approximately 30km of cross country trails. A local lift pass covers Marilleva, Folgarida, Passo Tonale and Pinzolo, a photo is required for lift passes.
Other attractions/activities you can enjoy or participate in while on holiday here at Madonna di Campiglio include a natural ice rink, snow shoe walking, cross country skiing and husky rides.
There are numerous stylish cafes/bars some with live music for evening entertainment plus late night discos. The resort has a good choice of restaurants a 3 course meal costs from €18 euros and a pizza approximately €5 euros. There are also plenty of smart boutiques and various shops to browse around.
Approximate transfer time to the resort from Verona is 2hrs 45 minutes.
