Newquay is a premier holiday resort on the North Cornish coast with around seven miles of beaches, though commercialized it is a preferred holiday spot for many thousands of holidaymakers and a popular haunt for surfers. Newquay hosts various surfing competitions and events throughout the summer months the resort does become congested in the peak season.

The choice of beaches in Newquay is fantastic with something for everyone, the popular golden sandy family beaches include Porth beach where you can enjoy the sea and the sand it has good facilities including beach shops, toilets, cafes etc. This beach is a favourite for families with pushchairs and people with walking difficulties.

Tolcarne Beach is also a firm favourite, it is a good surfing beach, access is via around 200 steps! It is worth visiting though for the views alone.

Towan Beach near the harbour and close to the town centre does get very busy in the season; there is a life-guard during the summer months.

There are eleven different beaches to choose from so you should find one to suit your needs. Some of the beaches are principal surfing beaches Fistral beach is a superb west-facing bay famous for the surfing events it hosts. Newquay does cater for all level of surfers. There is a range of watersports on offer and boat trips are available from the harbour area during the holiday season.

If you prefer land sports you might like to try land yachting, kite-surfing, abseiling or climbing. Newquay has numerous attractions in and around the resort including adventure/water parks. A popular all weather family attraction is the Blue Reef Aquarium on Towan Promenade. You can enjoy some incredible views from the walk through tunnel and see the sharks and eels above your head! As well as some wonderful coloured reef fish.

Newquay Animal Park/Zoo is set in lakeside gardens and makes a great day out, with over 300 animals; it is home to some of the world’s endangered species and specializes in breeding programmes. The zoo has informative and educational displays for all with plenty of enjoyment for everyone.

If golfing is your interest there is a selection of courses in and around Newquay this is a good location to choose for a golfing holiday break!

Newquay has a wide range of accommodation available from Caravan Holiday Parks there are static and touring caravan facilities, tent camping sites, B&B’s, Guest Houses, Holiday Cottages and Hotels the choice is yours…

Newquay has plenty of pubs/bars, restaurants and cafes for your food and refreshment choices, there are numerous nightclubs in the town something to suit all tastes. Stag and Hen parties are popular here to, if you are looking for a quieter holiday destination Newquay might not be for you particularly in high season.

The airport is situated just outside the town centre and has daily flights to many U.K. airports.
