The holiday resort of Port d´Alcúdia is situated on Majorca’s north-eastern coast Majorca is the biggest of the Balearic Islands and is a favourite holiday destination for many people.

The resort lies in a large bay with around 5 miles of sandy beach, the shallow waters of the bay are popular with families.

The lovely historic town of Alcudia is about 3km south of the resort, a market is held here on a Tuesday and Sunday when the town does get very busy, markets are popular in Majorca for the locals as well as the tourist, leather goods and porcelain are generally good buys, you should barter to get the best deal! The massive walls of the Old Town were erected in the 14th century and are a lasting reminder of the history of the island.

Port d´Alcudia is a purpose built resort, there are touristy shops along the beach road as well as other parts of the resort area. The neighbouring resort of Playa de Muro has designer shops and boutiques if you would like to do some clothes shopping on your hols!

Most people will be spending their days on the fantastic beach that fronts the resort where you can relax under a parasol, swim in the lovely clear waters, or try some of the water based activities on offer. Other attractions include the Alcúdia Hidropark where there are swimming pools, slides, wave pool etc, and a fun day out for all the family.
